You see it all time. You’re driving or stuck in rush hour and see that billboard advertising anything from hair products to music.  You try and keep a mental note about that certain product but with everyone’s busy schedule, the majority of the time you forget to check them out.  Plus when you are searching the internet about those products, you find business and websites that show up in search engine results and resort to them instead of that business advertising their business on a billboard. 

Despite what many may think, billboards are not a good way to promote your website or business.  They may have been a good idea in the past when the internet was not what it is now, but that has changed drastically.  Nowadays, many people turn to the internet on their phone or home computer to see business and websites that help supply them with products or information.  Billboards are at a disadvantage because you are limited to who drives on that freeway.  On top of that, your conversion rate is very slim.  Many of those commuters are not actively searching for your business.  With billboard advertising you are hoping that people keep your ad in mind when they need services like yours.  That is why it is important to promote your website or business online to users who really want to use your service.  You and your website will be better off plus your advertising dollars will be better spent.
